Terence Allen Kolstad is an IT professional who works for a solutions provider. He has been with the company for about five years, and has been an IT professional since 2007.
“My job consists of meeting with companies to discuss how we can create solutions for issues and business problems they are currently facing,” he explains. “I then gather information, create a Statement of Work, and then review it with the customer.” Because he is also a Project Engineer, he is sometimes the one who goes on to implement the actual solution.
He holds more than fifteen Microsoft certifications, including an MCSE in Server 2012. IT professionals with MCSE credentials have vastly improved their skill sets, and thus their marketability, since the credentials demonstrate a range of technical skills and expertise.
Employers know that the men and women who have earned the MCSE certification have the expertise and knowledge they need to perform with Microsoft technologies that, it has been said, are the lingua franca of the business world.
There are multiple MCSE certifications, all of them designed to meet the technical requirements of advanced-level Microsoft technology. They cover server infrastructure, desktop infrastructure, the cloud, and SharePoint. Current MCSEs require candidates to pass a series of exams.
Terence Allen Kolstad’s also include Exchange 2013 (Messaging). He also holds an AS degree in Computer Networking Technology from Remington College, where he maintained a 4.0 GPA and was a member of the National Technical Honor Society, starting as its Vice President and later becoming President.
